so these beats are totally for our use to record our written/ghost written music for our own profit and not worry about no court order, right?

hi,

what about if someone bought a license to a beat i downloaded before that

am i still allowed to record vocals on it and publish it (non-profital) then?

greetz, addy

Comment from admin

Yeah. if someone buys a license, it just stops any future downloading. It’s more beneficial to buy a license as soon as a new beat is posted.

I am a rapper and i have been lookin everywhere for free instrumentals because i don’t have money to pay for any. I am using some of these beats and have told people about the website, but when i make money off of my songs i will donate to the site.

Hey Bossman…one quick question:

I noticed Addy asked su’m like this a while back, but not in the way I was wondering…say, for instance, a fella was to put some verse over a beat, record it and, like, put it on mixtape/album and sell it commercially, THEN, somebody else bought said beat, acquired the license and all…would that mean that the first fella would have to take that track off the mixtape/album (or maybe pay royalties) seen as how someone now owns the beat (and maybe wouldn’t wanna let this one slide)?

Sorry for the long question haha! Just wondered…

Thanks! ;)

Giovani, Yes you can.

ISsUe, that’s a good question. In the event that someone purchases an exclusive license, they do so while understanding that the beat used to be available for free and will not cancel the rights of anyone who has used the beat in the past. This is stated in the exclusive license contract. People wanting to purchase beats will benefit the most by purchasing them as soon as they’re released, to get them removed from the site as soon as possible.
